iX Cards Professional comes complete with a Web browser based administration system which allows you to run your card site from your favorite workstation, be it Windows, Linux or Mac OS X. Any modern web browser will do.

What you expect...

The iX Cards Web Administrator allows you to do all the basic things you would expect -- upload card images, create categories and sub-categories to group cards, associate groups of fonts with card categories, and activate or hide cards and categories. You can also edit the category labels that the users of your card site will see, and assign a picture to a category.

Know Your Customer Other card systems assume they are being run by a webmaster or a programmer. Our customers told us that once the card system has been installed an integrated into the site, the people driving it day to day are the marketing professionals and graphics artists -- not the programmers. Developers are too busy to be making changes to the card system every time marketing needs a new category. So when you said, "a good card system should not require a programmer in the loop", we listened. illumineX delivered a system where choices are check boxes -- not Program Change Request forms.

We didn't stop there. We worked with our early customers over a period of several weeks to improve the workflow of the administration system so that it's as easy as possible to administer your iX Cards site -- while still providing the platform-independence of a web browser interface. You can navigate to previous or next cards, for example, and your changes are automatically saved to the database. And why do things one at a time? With iX Cards Web Administrator, you can move cards en-masse to a different category, and move entire sub-categories to a new parent.

• font swatches show you the actual font -- not just the name of the font
• pop-up inspector shows you the final card, in actual size
• role-based access limits permissions by job function for large teams
• automatic detection of installed fonts on your server system (whenever possible)
• define the area for the message text (including on top of the card image)

And security

We've also considered security. If you walk away from your browser, your session will time out, and return you to the login page of the administration tool, saving any changes you had made. If you need to administer your site remotely, you can run the iX Cards Web Administrator over a secure SSL session just fine.
