Web Postcard System

WPS is offered as a product for deployment on your site, and also as a hosting service, Application Service Provider style.

BIS Postcard

This product is available in a Free version, and a commercial version. The BIS Postcard application is not terribly modern, and the BIS web site is not very inspiring, so we nearly overlooked this. We decided to include it because there seem to be a pretty sizable number of web sites that use Perl driven card applications that appear to be derived from the free BIS Postcard system.

Improbable Postcard

Another free, Perl-based postcard system, this one non-commercial. This system lets you set up cards where the writable text area is on top of the image area. (iX Cards lets you do this, too, on a per-card basis.)

All-Yours Greeting Cards

This Perl-based system is primarily offered as a "Free" hosting service. In exchange for hosting your card site, the vendor gets to place their advertisements on your card site. This is a surprisingly popular model for small scale web sites, but if you're trying to grow a business, you definitely don't want somebody else placing ads on your site, drawing your traffic away! Recently they started offering a commercial version of their postcard server, in Perl.
