RoX is a modern implementation of a classic arcade theme. Alien invaders are hurling space rocks at the Earth. Your small fleet of spacecraft and your skill stand between Earth and oblivion. Shoot everything that moves, and dodge the rocks and alien missiles. Beware the alien space mines.

Our beta testers were too busy playing... uh... testing the final build of the game to provide us with witty banter for the press release. However, Marcie Yacktman, who happens to be married to one of our developers said today, "Now that RoX is done, can I have my husband back?"

RoX provides both Windowed & Full Screen display modes, and an Aqua interface featuring the "Chrome" theme for the game skin. RoX includes full Mac Help, including strategy tips and a description of the physics of the game. The game also includes an animated dock icon.

RoX also includes the new illumineX Software Updater. This new feature will save bandwidth and time when updating RoX, by automatically downloading and installing only the new parts of an application, rather than a whole new application image. The Software Update feature is robust and user friendly, thanks to Cocoa and Aqua. It's another example of how Mac OS X brings users the power of Unix, wrapped in the famous Macintosh ease-of-use courtesy.

Pricing & Availability

The software is available NOW for free download. It can be registered for just $14.95 (US Dollars) by using the built-in registrar (select "Register Online Now..." from the main RoX menu). Registering RoX gives you full access to all the features within the game without restriction.
