illumineX takes the 2-D arcade game to the next level of computing, and beyond!
Inspired by the exciting new Aqua interface on Mac OS X - the state of the art computer system from Apple - we set ourselves three goals:
create a modern 2-D arcade game,
which is as fun to play
as it is to lick... uh... look at,
and that's as addictive as any game you've ever played
Four! We've set ourselves four goals. (I'll just go out, and come back in.) In other words, our designers were highly motivated to create games that were so much fun to play that we run the risk of crippling our own development team. It was a chance we had to take.

illumineX has a winner for themselves with a game that can only be described as "Tetris, but sideways and with glass." While this description may generate the same look from people as if you had just walked into your high school prom wearing a clown outfit and wielding a running chainsaw, it makes sense when the game begins.

"What I found most interesting about the gameplay is that there are usually three or sometimes four different ways of getting a certain marble to fall in the spot where you need it. The difference between the skilled players and the ones who just enjoy hearing the marbles click is in making sure you not only get one marble where you want, but you manage to get the other two into good positions as well."
