MnemoniX (Version 3)
for macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and macOS 10.13 (High Sierra)

MnemoniX

MnemoniX is a game of memory and matching. This game can hook you like a new bag of Doritos.

It offers a wide variety of features to tailor the game to your tastes. By changing tile sets, the collection of images that are being matched up is changed. Changing to a new game variant will alter the rules of the game allowing selection of a wide variety of challenging options. By selecting the tile set and game variant, the difficulty of the game can be adjusted to match your ability level.

Games Within Games

There are several different games all within MnemoniX, and many different, beautiful tile sets, including a very beautiful set of flower images donated by Mark Charneski when we first created MnemoniX, giving endless hours of fun and puzzle solving.

Big Ben

Big Ben is for the speed demon who likes to race against the clock. Run out of time before all the tiles are exposed and the game is over.

Classic

This is a single level game. But what a level it is!

Progressive

The progressive game has no time limit and doesn't limit the number of guesses. You simply play progressively larger and larger levels until you run out of levels and win.

Progressive (Extended Remix)

This is the progressive game, but you play each board size twice.

Marathon

A very long game reminiscent of progressive. It can take over 90 minutes to play all the way through this game!

Sneak a Peek

In this game, you get a peek at all the tiles before they are covered up and the game begins. Remember as many as you can!

Under Pressure

This game is a combination of Big Ben and Wisdom and is for expert players. You are under a time limit for each level, and are given only a limited number of guesses as well.

Wisdom

In this variant, you are given a limited number of guesses to use. If you run out of guesses before you uncover all the tiles, the game ends. There is no time limit.

Trivia

MnemoniX provides both Windowed & Full Screen display modes, and an Aqua interface featuring the "Chrome" theme for the game skin. HextriX includes full Mac Help, including strategy tips and a description of the rules of the game. The game also includes an animated dock icon.

illumineX used a variety of macOS technologies in Infinity Game PaX, including:

  • OpenGL & Quartz (including animation and transparency)
  • Cocoa (Objective C and Java)
  • Mac Help
  • Aqua Interface compliance
  • Animated dock icon with transparency (animates about once a minute)
  • Windowed & Full Screen display modes
  • Threads

A bit of trivia: BabelBloX was the first fully-skinned Cocoa application to appear on macOS. BabelBloX uses a "Chrome" theme developed by illumineX for use with games.

Pricing and Availability

The illumineX Infinity GamePaX series (including BabelBloX, HextriX, HoppiX, MarbleX, MnemoniX, RoX, and RuniX) is moving to macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and the Mac App Store this year.

Each game will be available for a low price of $2.99 which is 1/2 the original price of each game.

The Mac App Store doesn't allow us to identify our customers, so we are not able to offer upgrade pricing for previous iX Connect customers. Since the GamePaX has only been available as a free download since about 2009, we hope you'll consider this to be a reasonable upgrade fee (about 50 cents a year!)
