HextriX (Version 3)
for macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and macOS 10.13 (High Sierra)

HextriX

HextriX is an addictive falling shape puzzle with beautiful tiles and odd angles!

Games Within Games

There are five different games all within HextriX giving endless hours of fun and puzzle solving. In addition, there are five beautiful different tile sets to choose from when playing.

Classic

Classsic is a single level game. Start playing and see how long you can last!

Clean Slate

Clean Slate is a multi-level game. Each level is a bit harder than the last, but as the name implies, you always start the level with a "clean slate". Clear as many rows as you can to advance to the next level.

Landfill

Landfill is a multi-level game. Each level starts with a new pile of random blocks designed to get in your way. Clear as many rows as you can to advance to the next level.

Toxic Rain

Toxic Rain is a single level game. As you play, random blocks will rain down and get in your way.

Upworldly Mobile

Upwardly Mobile is a difficult game. As you play, new rows of garbage will be added to the bottom of the well, pushing everything upward. If you don't clear rows faster than they are added to the well, you'll be in big trouble really quickly!

Themes

HextriX features several different themes to match your mood. Chalk, Autumn, Gems, Organic, and Classic.

Trivia

HextriX provides both Windowed & Full Screen display modes, and an Aqua interface featuring the "Chrome" theme for the game skin. HextriX includes full Mac Help, including strategy tips and a description of the rules of the game. The game also includes an animated dock icon.

illumineX used a variety of macOS technologies in BabelBloX, including:

  • OpenGL & Quartz (including animation and transparency)
  • Cocoa (Objective C and Java)
  • Mac Help
  • Aqua Interface compliance
  • Animated dock icon with transparency (animates about once a minute)
  • Windowed & Full Screen display modes
  • Threads

A bit of trivia: BabelBloX was the first fully-skinned Cocoa application to appear on macOS. BabelBloX uses a "Chrome" theme developed by illumineX for use with games.

Pricing and Availability

The illumineX Infinity GamePaX series (including BabelBloX, HextriX, HoppiX, MarbleX, MnemoniX, RoX, and RuniX) is moving to macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and the Mac App Store this year.

Each game will be available for a low price of $4.99 which is 1/2 the original price of each game.

The Mac App Store doesn't allow us to identify our customers, so we are not able to offer upgrade pricing for previous iX Connect customers. Since the GamePaX has only been available as a free download since about 2009, we hope you'll consider this to be a reasonable upgrade fee (about 50 cents a year!)
