Infinity GamePaX games (Version 3)
for macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and macOS 10.13 (High Sierra)

Infinity Game PaX

Pricing and Availability

The illumineX Infinity GamePaX series (including BabelBloX, HextriX, HoppiX, MarbleX, MnemoniX, RoX, and RuniX) is moving to macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and the Mac App Store this year.

Each game will be available for a low price of $4.99 which is 1/2 the original price of each game.

The Mac App Store doesn't allow us to identify our customers, so we are not able to offer upgrade pricing for previous iX Connect customers. Since the GamePaX has only been available as a free download since about 2009, we hope you'll consider this to be a reasonable upgrade fee (about 50 cents a year!)

“I guess the previous management didn't like games. The current management really likes games.”

-- Steve Jobs, circa 2002

We are currently in the middle of updating the illumineX Infinity Game PaX for macOS 10.12 (Sierra). We're bringing the games to the Mac App Store for the first time.

As a result of this transition, we won't be able to offer upgrade pricing to previous customers who previously purchased through our iX Connect system. Apple doesn't provide us with any way to identify our customers on the Mac App Store. On balance, though, we think this is a good move and we hope you'll agree.

The Infinity GamePaX has only been available for free download since about 2009, and this will be the first update to the games since that time. The old version of the gaes doesn't work very well on the newer versions of macOS, so we've been fixing thousands (many, many thousands) of issues, so that the games will be rock solid on macOS Sierra.

Each game still includes the same well polished featuers you love about our games, including different game-play worlds, and different graphical themes. Each game is actually several games in one, for one low price.

When we deliver them to the Mac App Store, illumineX Infinity GamePaX games will be on sale for only $4.99. Get 'em while they're hot!

  • BabelBloX - shatter colorful glass tiles and clear the field
  • MarbleX - falling marble triads (highly addictive)
  • RoX - asteroid invasion game with killer sound effects
  • MnemoniX - a memory workout of hidden tile matching
  • HextriX - falling hexagon-based shapes (challenging)
  • RuniX - restricted-path tile-matching (race the clock!)
  • HoppiX - hop over marbles to remove them from the board

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. BabelBloX and the rest of the Infinity Game PaX run only on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or higher. They probably don't run at all on older versions of macOS.
  2. You probably cannot overdose on fun!

enterprise apps and cloud services - gamification

illumineX is ready to help you build next generation mobile apps and cloud services. Our engineers build commercial products you can download and drive. We believe that the experience of building commercial software products, even free toys, helps our engineers learn about scalability, quality, and agile programming practices at a depth beyond what's typically seen in enterprise software projects. Did you know that in the early days of macOS roughly 10% of Macintosh users were using at least one illumineX software product? Sure, there were only a few million customers at the time, and most of those products were distributed free of charge, but we still think a 10% market penetration on a technology platform is pretty fun.

Do you want to take your enterprise apps to the next level? illumineX helps government, venture capital funded startup, and enterprise clients design and build modern software solutions to reach their customers and reach their goals. We can build it for you or work with your team.

We understand the value of sizzle in your app, and can help you apply modern techniques like gamification to help you build an app that strengthens the bond between you and your customers. We've been building both large-scale, custom enterprise software and commercial games since the late 1990s. Very, very few enterprise software developres can say that.
